It’s well known that when something is sent “underground” it tends to become even edgier, more exciting, elicit, evocative. Not so with SwingersUnderground.com.

Let’s not be too harsh here, SwingersUnderground seems legitimate enough, created from a desire to have a basic site that lets swingers meet up, and claims to be without “BS functions”. Well, that’s true to some extent, it certainly doesn’t have a lot of functions worth mentioning. Its search options are fairly standard, albeit stripped down to such a degree that a search feels very limited.  Search results are also disappointing; we asked for females within a 200 mile radius of a major US city and only had 6 results, 5 of which had pictures locked out so that only specific members could see them. But the major contradiction of Swingers Underground is that it’s so tame. Main photos cannot contain nudity, your welcome message to other members must be “clean”, there are few options for sexual chats and even the blogs talk about dull subjects such as “should I read 50 Shades of Gray?”

It can’t all be bad news, can it? Well SwingersUnderground.com is cheap, though not necessarily good value for everyone. At least it might be worth a shot joining up if you find a member or two that you think you’ll really click with. In particular its ‘buy one year get a year free’ offer is a potential bargain. Its focus on American swinging also means that anyone looking for some swinging action in the US might find it well suited to their area. We would recommend performing a search or two based on your location (or places that you’re interested in visiting in the US) to see if there are members active near you, or whether there are many events happening in your area.

SwingersUnderground.com might be a useful resource for members in the US who are interested in a fairly tame swingers site and who don’t mind travelling between cities and states. The lack of information on profiles, the FAQ and the general site itself, makes it seems incomplete somehow, rather than minimalist and efficient. Photos are frequently restricted and search results might be a disappointment, but if you do find a few members who stoke your fire then the price isn’t bad and it might be worth a shot just for those few special relationships that might emerge.
